If the very thought of abandoning the restriction of meal prep elicits a panic response, it might be tempting to dismiss the lesson here. Bear with me, though; I have a proposition in the prompt below.
Jotting with Johnna
When you are considering what to procure and prepare for the week's culinary future, take a moment to stop, breathe, tune into your senses, and see if a particular color comes to mind, a scent, a texture.. What feelings come into your awareness that might guide you in your choices as you make a list for the grocery shopping? What haven't you tried? What haven't you eaten in a while that now sounds refreshing? Don't worry - I'm not suggesting you completely veer off your accustomed path. Just consider what seasonal or sensory ideas come up and improvise a new plan for the week, even if it's just one item.
Remember: you are so worthy of a few moments of quiet contemplation to make your meal preparation less mundane and more custom-fit to your true needs in the present. A modification to the redundancy and routine can give your wellness script a more interesting (and thus, more sustainable) plot.
Stay tuned. Stay focused. Stay well
